What is a mat shutter? Mat shutters are slats that move vertically up and down, installed outside the window to completely block light from entering. There are more than one type of material in the mat shutter, such as (aluminum - galvanized iron - PVC). Mat shutters are available in two types of lifting units: either: - with a manual lifting unit (strip) where the customer moves it manually via a strip to straighten and fold the shutter slats up and down or with an electric lifting unit (motor) where the shutter is used via a motor and an electric switch, and the motor can even be equipped with an electric remote control if the customer wishes.
